Into the swing of things....

We are somewhat getting into the swing of school and our new routine we have been forced to follow. Maggie is still loving Kindergarten which I am very happy with. I volunteered in her class last week while Mom and Dad were here to watch Josie and Owen and I loved seeing her in the classroom setting. She is just the perfect student. :) Sits quietly, answers questions when asked, listens and engages in all the classroom activities. Yes, I am a very proud mommy. :) She is learning so much already in all her classes and especially likes music and art. She was singing last night in her room, just belting out "Amazing Grace." I asked where she learned it and she said in music class at school. She has a new teacher, Mrs. Jacobs, who is also a friend of mine. Her class got split since they can have no more than 15 kindergarten students per class and hers was up to 18. She is in class with her buddy Zoe and the rest are boys, but she seems happy with all the kids in her class. Mornings are a bit hard on us all as we have always gotten up around 830-9. Now I have to get Maggie up around 730 or a little after so we can leave the house by 8ish to get her to school. None of us are crazy about the early morning wake ups but hopefully in time we will get more adjusted to it. Here is a picture of the kids last week on our way to school. Maggie looked so cute I was going to takea picture of her, but Owen and Josie weren't about to be left out.

I think this is the first ever picture when all 3 of my kids were actually looking at the camera and smiling! Why does this never happen at the studio???

And then Maggie wanted to pose alone....followed by Owen wanting to do the same. Now this is my true Owen when it's picture time. :)

Owen is very lonley and bored all day while Maggie is at school so he's been very fond of playdates latley. Bella is his one of his favorite playmates so we have had her over a few times already and am sure will have her lots more through the school year. Here they are playing play-doh and having a "picnic" lunch while watching Wubbzy.

Mom and Dad came down a few days last week so they could see the kids play soccer Saturday morning. We had a nice, but too short, visit with them. They liked watching the kids play soccer and helped me try to keep Josie off the field! We are excited that we will be seeing them again in just a few days as we head off to Myrtle Beach for vacation!!! Aunt Amanda will also be there which is even more fun, and Nick, Neila-Susan, Carson, and baby Jackson are going too so it should be a funfilled week.

Here are some pictures of the kids last soccer game. Owen playing goalie and showing off his kicking skills...

Maggie taking the ball down the field....well, at least in the right direction!

And Josie being her adorable self and actually SITTING and watching the game for a bit.

Here is another picture of Josie last week at Walmart.
The lady gave her a sticker and she put it right on her nose and kept it there the whole time we were at the store. She is so goofy!

And lastly...we have exciting news! Our friends, Jeff and Sheila had their baby last week! They had a little boy, named Ian Christopher.
They didn't find out what they were having and I was just sure it was a girl...but I was wrong. We are so excited for them and can't wait to have Ian be a part of our game nights!! Congratulations guys!!
