Pumpkin Patch Day

We took the kids out to the pumpkin patch this weekend to spend the day. It was gorgeous outside so it was the perfect day for it. Maggie and Owen had already been with their classes so we weren't there to pick any pumpkins since we already had a porch full! But the kids love the hay to play on and all the fun stuff they have there.

We let them play in the hay piles for quite awhile. Maggie was able to make this big leap....

thanks to her long legs and jumping skills she gets from her daddy!

Emmie Jayne LOVED running all over the place.

Joe would put her up on the hay and she would run back and forth. It isn't often that we are out and about and I let her out of the stroller so when she does get out she makes the most of it!

Maggie and Owen had so much fun jumping off this big tree...

Poor little Josie tried and tried but just couldn't get up the nerve to do it.....which resulted in her climbing a hay bale and putting on this face...

yes, she is a drama queen.

There was so much going on it was hard to get all 4 of them to sit still long enough to get a picture, but with the help of Joe jumping around behind me I managed a few....

Maggie and Josie talked Joe into heading over to the petting zoo so we all headed that way. (uckkk) Josie thought feeding them animals was great.

Emmie Jayne and I stayed away from the animals since I know she would have no concept of proper hygine after being near and touching animals! She had no idea what she was missing so she was happy to cheese it up for me.

Isn't she a cutie!

My 4 kiddos on the Gallreins tractor.....thanks to Daddy holding the 2 littlest up!

We came upon this pumpkin sling shot that the kids (AND JOE) thought was so cool. You shot baby pumpkins and tried to hit 2 pumpkin scarescrow men dressed up in UL and UK outfits. The kids all had several turns as did Joe.

Here is my sweet baby watching them and taking it all in....

After sling shotting a million baby pumpkins we hopped on the tractor to take a hayride over to the pumpkin patch.

The kids had fun playing on the pumpkins

running through them

and not so much fun posing for another picture for Mommy.....

except for this little pumpkin who hasn't figured out yet that every day is a photo op for mom!

This was my idea of a perfect day with my family.......Maggie said the same thing to me that evening. :) I love days like this and cherish them even more as my little ones grow because I know the day will come when they have no desire to go to the pumpkin patch and take hay rides. But for now, I'm just gonna enjoy each and every little moment with these guys....
