Trick or Treat

So this year Trick or Treat was on a monday night which wasn't the best since the kids had school the next day. We waited until this weekend to carve our pumpkins, i don't like doing them much before becasue they get all nasty and buggy inside them!





Joe is the main carver......Owen enjoys watching the pumpkin cleaning and carving and giving his directions. haha.







He is not into pulling the "guts" out at all.




























Maggie on the other hand LOVES cleaning them pumpkins out, she always has!































And josie is more with Owen (and me) and does not like getting the yucky guts all over her hands.
































Emmie Jayne would have loved to dive into one of them pumpkins I am sure, but we didn't let her get ahold of one. She loved watching all the pumpkin fun though.








































So pretty much Joe and Maggie did all the pumpkin stuff and the rest of us watched (and gave directions, haha) But it was lots of fun!































We had a trunk again at church this year so Joe and I took the kids around our neighborhood first before heading over to the church.

This year the kids all picked out what they wanted to be. I had wanted them to all be fruits and be the "fruit of the spirit", which I think would have been adorable! But they all had other ideas....so I did my mommy duty and gave in..... and we ended up with an Indian girl

They all looked cute and were so happy with their costumes.























We made it around the neighborhood fast since it started at 5 oclcok and alot of people were not home from work yet, so there were not a ton of houses to hit. But despite that the kids got a ton of candy before even heading over to the church.


Emmie Jayne gathered a few treats but once she had a sucker in each hand she was perfectly content.






























We went over to the church at 6 to trunk or treat and set up our trunk. I took the kids around while Joe handed out candy and they got alot more.


AFter getting more candy they got hot dogs and then we made smores....

Josie isn't as into the making them, but she sure loves eating them...


























The kids always have fun at the church. they love getting the candy, handing out candy and seeing all their friends all dressed up too.

We went home and they all poured over their candy they got and traded a bit too. And then I put it up and that night Joe probably raided their candy bowls. haha.
